Description

I drew this one as the cover for my Sengoku Musou Doujinshi (you can read more about it in my journal here). It was a lot of work and it took me ridiculously long...however, I'm really happy I finished it.

I tried something new with the colors here (violett shadows), but I didn't really succeed as I wanted, oh well...I still like how the colors came out, especially the red of the kimono, which goes really well with the violet shade (I was kind of surprised about this).
For the castle I used different reference photos and a drawing of Osaka Castle, but I tried not copying but rather constructing myself with the help of the refs.
The size is A3! It's always exciting to work on a bigger piece of paper <3

Very eye-catching. The scheme of colors you've used is wonderful, they complement each other quite nicely. I would suggest adding more onto the house, possibly with a soft trail off to the bottom right-hand corner. I would also suggest making the woman's hair a little less flat. The hair is very well done on the two men, the side burns were a wonderful effect, it adds a nice touch of masculinity. In the leaves of the roses, the designs fit nicely, but they should be slightly larger on the parts of the leaves that are supposed to be more in the foreground.
Overall, a wonderful job, I look forward to seeing more.
