THE WEIGHT

And my second finished illustration this year! It feels soooo good to finish a "big picture", I missed this so much last year ;_;

Anyways, I started this during a watercolour demonstration and I'm happy I somehow managed to finish it so quickly after, because if everything goes well I can take prints of this to the MCC in Leipzig! My booth no. is MK 431, and I'll be there together with derylbraun ~ come and say hi to us if you have the time, I'm already really excited!

I've been wanting to draw a proper picture of my OC Ortwin for a while now. The sketch was spontaneous and so it came out different than what I had planned first, but in the end it fits so well and everything came together like it should. I also noticed I tend to draw Ort frontal like this, but it somehow fits him ~ I didn't work on the bottom part so much because I wanted to have it kind of fade into the background. I like how it came out, and I'm beginning to have more and more fun with my illustrations, everything is so exciting! Of course there are a lot of things to do better next time, but I feel like I'm going in a direction where I'm discovering what I really want my stuff to look like.
